Washington Mental Health Awareness Week

Youth 'N Action members will be participate in the 2008 Washington Mental Health Awareness Week taking place the first week of May. Youth 'N Action is partnering with Passages, NAMI Spokane, Volunteers of America, and the Spokane School District. Youth 'N Action members came up with a innovative list of activities to celebrate the week:

Painting themselves green for a demonstration to take place Saturday, May 8, 2008
A "Lifting the Veil on Mental Health" display created by the youth
Creating a Public Service Announcement (PSA) to be aired on local cable networks across the state
Creating a poster campaign.
